Most of my life I have had a close association with the beach and the ocean, therefore making me a pretty accomplished swimmer.
This interest in the beach lead to the hobby of bodyboarding which i did regularly as a kid. I eventually moved on to using a surfboard which I found like most people very frustrating when I first started. Due to the need to break through the waves to actually ride them.
This lead to use of and development of skills such as duckdiving and stronger paddling. With a better understanding of both these things surfing becomes much more enjoyable and less exhausting. These days its hard to find time to surf due to uni and work, but I try to surf when I can usually at Curl Curl, Long Reef, Winky or Warriewood
